Artist Of The Month - Bittersweet Album
Artist Of The Month - Bittersweet
Darlings of the homegrown indie rock scene, Bittersweet sure has it sweet now.Riding on the high and praise of its recently released tasty debut album, Perfect Match. Since its humble beginnings in Ipoh three years ago, the band has been steadily gigging to improve its groove. The band has played at such gigs as Singapore's big indie event Baybeats in Singapore and last December's Rock the World 7.
With a laundry list of Brit rock and roll acts as key references to their distinct sound, the five blokes that make up the unit sure looked the part recently in the cosy No Black Tie at the band's live showcase and album launch.Clad in uniformed black pants, white black-pinstripe shirts and narrow red belts with skinny ties or suspenders, they rocked the stage with a short preview of songs from the 10-track debut to the delight of the screaming group of a hundred or so fans and guests.
"It's ironic how we first wore shades to hide our nervousness and now it turned out to be something cool that identifies us," said Pijie as the vocalist of the band.
